Why we chose Crowdcube?

As Pockit was built with the mission of driving accessibility to better financial services, we’ve always wanted to be able to give the opportunity to our customers to become investors in our business and own a part of our company.

Crowdfunding would not only enable our customers to become investors and help us build and shape our products and services but to many, it would be the first time they would be able to make an investment of this kind by investing as little as £10.

We started looking for an easy to use, yet secure platform that would make this dream possible and Crowdcube quickly stood out from the rest.

As the largest crowdfunding platform in the world, Crowdcube has a lot of experience when it comes to managing fundraising campaigns, and their user-friendly website was key to make it simple and easy for our community to join the campaign and invest in Pockit.

Since 2011, Crowdcube has helped more than 1,120 organisations successfully fundraise. Many of their users were first-time investors that finally could invest in companies like Revolut, BrewDog, Monzo, Carwow, Freetrade and Mindful Chef.

Since then, the Crowdcube community has grown to more than 900,000 members, and a total of £1bn has been invested on the platform to date.

Another key decisive factor to our choice was Crowdcube’s mission to create a world that’s jam-packed with exciting businesses doing wonderful things, fuelled by their passionate communities.

They understood the importance of building a strong community to achieve even greater results. With the help of the Pockit and Crowdcube community, we believe we can exponentially grow our efforts to close the financial exclusion gap and provide better and smarter services to the many.
